God damn, I leave for two weeks and the internet goes fucking nuts. Anyway, for those of you who didn’t know, I’ve been gone doing my thing down in the souf with the hurricane and whatnot. So don’t nobody tell me to stop whining about Katrina, cause I been done down there and it’s some heavy shit.

But that’s enough of that. Time for some administrative shit.

1. That contest. It’s still in effect, for the most part. I’ve gotten some submissions, but I really don’t want this to turn into a Katrina blog or something lame like that, because others are doing that better. I am the world’s greatest hip hop podcast guru, so I will stick to that. So tracks will show up in shows, but don’t count on it getting toooo overboard.

2. Shows. Instead of coming out weekly on Fridays, I’m thinking that we’re going to move to Wednesdays or so. Why? Well, like any good-looking young man in Southern Cali, I have shit to do on Friday nights. Episode #11 had me sitting inside agonizing over file formats while I could have been in a near riot downtown. Plus, I know all of you have similar issues with weekends too - so let’s just move it on over to the middle of the week. That means you can expect an episode this week.

3. Track submissions. Feel free to send me tracks. My email is dexter [at] kucr [dot] org. Just make sure to note that they are for the mixtape show hip-hop podcast, so I don’t mix em up with other stuff.
