Chali 2na speaks out about Abobo

I am kind of confused about this. Once again, I'm going to reveal a little bit more about myself than I am comfortable doing on these here internets, but, well, I guess it's harmless enough. Look at this video if you're impatient. Here's a picture. Does this mean anything to you? Do you see any similarity, do you think that the images presented in this picture belong together? Abobo of Double Dragon and Chali 2na of Jurassic 5 Me neither, until somehow I ended up at abobo.com. See, back when I was just a young gun, I used to spend hours on end eating candy, drinking soda, playing that 'tendo, and pimping, the latter of which I was particularly infamous for. But that was only when I got tired of playing that 'tendo, man. Shit was the business, and anyway if you don't like the nintendo game, you can just turn it off. But then again you don't have to blow on girls and smack them against the table to make them work properly, so I guess it's a tradeoff.

the mixtape show reviewed on voxmonitor

While I think that though most people would probably figure that it's in my best interest to ignore this and pretend it never happened, I've got to let y'all hear this shit. So there's this weird-ass site called voxmonitor, and the premise of this site is that these two dudes, who apparently have way the fuck too much time on their hands, sit around and talk about podcasts. I mean, on the real, doing a podcast about anything is kinda suspect (unless, of course, you're doing the best hip-hop podcast on the internets, which in my book exempts you from nerd status), but a podcast about podcasts? Kind of strange.

more on the way

Yo, what it is? I got a couple of things to drop on you all today. [audio:chuck.mp3] First, I'm currently compiling material for the second and third episodes of the mixtape. I might be able to get another couple tracks in, so if anyone out there has somethin they want me to hear, get at me. Be looking for the first new drop in the coming week. Second, although not all of the artists that are featured on here have sites (or even working phones, damn), some do. I'm gonna do my best to link you all up with info on each artist so that you can get more of their material without having to google around for it. With that in mind, then, I gotta give a shout out to Akir - you heard him last week - you can check some of his tracks on that site, for free. And if you're in the D.C. area, you might even be able to catch him live on the 27th.
