What up intarweb? You read that right, an interview with O.C. It’s the first interview of many on the mixtape show, and this one is so long that I had to break it into two parts for all y’all on dialup. Click here for the second part. Speaking of dialup, this was done with a land line and a cell phone, so it’s gonna be a little shaky, but we keeps it hood here anyway; you know how it is.

Anyway, back to the topic: for those of you who don’t know, O.C. is a major player in the major hip-hop squad that is the D.I.T.C. (Diggin’ In The Crates) crew. And not only did I get an interview, but we’ve also got some cuts off of both Jewelz and the 1994 classic Word…Life for y’all to check out as well.

You absolutely do not want to miss the next part, for reasons that you will understand when you listen to the last couple minutes of this podcast.

So I know I said that I was gonna have that O.C. interview up today, but I lost the CD with the audio tracks there were some technical difficulties. I got everything back on track, though, so I’ma hit the studio asap and get back on it.

Yo, what it is? I got a couple of things to drop on you all today.

First, I’m currently compiling material for the second and third episodes of the mixtape. I might be able to get another couple tracks in, so if anyone out there has somethin they want me to hear, get at me. Be looking for the first new drop in the coming week.

Second, although not all of the artists that are featured on here have sites (or even working phones, damn), some do. I’m gonna do my best to link you all up with info on each artist so that you can get more of their material without having to google around for it. With that in mind, then, I gotta give a shout out to Akir - you heard him last week - you can check some of his tracks on that site, for free. And if you’re in the D.C. area, you might even be able to catch him live on the 27th.
