you know what it is. no, seriously. you do.
I am kind of confused about this. Once again, I’m going to reveal a little bit more about myself than I am comfortable doing on these here internets, but, well, I guess it’s harmless enough. Look at this video if you’re impatient.
Here’s a picture. Does this mean anything to you? Do you see any similarity, do you think that the images presented in this picture belong together?

Abobo of Double Dragon and Chali 2na of Jurassic 5
Me neither, until somehow I ended up at abobo.com. See, back when I was just a young gun, I used to spend hours on end eating candy, drinking soda, playing that ‘tendo, and pimping, the latter of which I was particularly infamous for. But that was only when I got tired of playing that ‘tendo, man. Shit was the business, and anyway if you don’t like the nintendo game, you can just turn it off. But then again you don’t have to blow on girls and smack them against the table to make them work properly, so I guess it’s a tradeoff.

While I think that though most people would probably figure that it’s in my best interest to ignore this and pretend it never happened, I’ve got to let y’all hear this shit.
So there’s this weird-ass site called voxmonitor, and the premise of this site is that these two dudes, who apparently have way the fuck too much time on their hands, sit around and talk about podcasts. I mean, on the real, doing a podcast about anything is kinda suspect (unless, of course, you’re doing the best hip-hop podcast on the internets, which in my book exempts you from nerd status), but a podcast about podcasts? Kind of strange.

Damn, we been on this interview ish for a minute now. Next show is a music joint, promise.
This week on the best hip-hop mixtape podcast on the internets, we got The Source’s Unsigned Hype alumni Akir. Dude has been making serious moves for a minute now, and I finally caught up to him for an interview. He’s dodging buses or some shit while we talk via celly so the audio’s a bit hectic, but Akir still drops some serious shit about his artistic philosophy, the international market, the state of hip-hop in the US, and what it’s like doing shows at the historically non-rap-oriented Vans Warped Tour.
What it do? That is officially my new greeting for the moment, so get the fuck used to it.
Anwyay, today I’ve got some more appropriated audio to share with y’all. I was checking out HoustonSoReal as I do periodically, and I noticed that dude had a large-ass mix in there, so I downloaded it. Definitely good shit. If you’re not sure who Diplo is, well, I’m not really sure what to tell you, but it’s all good. You should probably check out the Piracy Funds Terrorism mixtape, which he did with M.I.A., who was officially my shit for like three whole weeks, which says a lot for an A.D.D.-havin-ass brother such as myself.
So yeah, given the amount of stupid fucking internet beef that’s been going around recently, I decided that since I’m gonna be direct linking HSR’s shit, I won’t steal any pictures from there - instead I’ve decided to put up an artistic rendition of Diplo in the control room on the 1s and 0s. Brought to you by your boy and MS Paint. You know we keep that shit hood.
Click that shit to get at the mp3.
